Portugal vs Wales – They have played each other in three friendlies & never in a competitive match.

Portugal won two of these friendlies, while Wales won the other one.

Wales’ only win against Portugal dates back to 1951.

Their only friendly in the last 65 years was in June 2000, where Portugal emerged 3-0 winners.

Portugal have won three of their four penalty shoot-outs at major tournaments. No team has managed to win back-to-back shoot-outs at the European Championships.

WALES

Wales with 10 goals at EURO 2016, are only behind France (11) on the number of goals scored at this European Championship.

Since Sweden in 1992, Wales are the only team to reach a European Championship semi-final on debut. (Czech Republic aren’t being recognised here because UEFA records them as Czechoslovakia’s successor)

Hal Robson-Kanu has scored two goals from three shots on target at EURO 2016.

Aaron Ramsey, who will sit out of the semi-final through suspension, has scored or assisted 5 of Wales’ last 8 goals.

Gareth Bale’s 14 shots on target at EURO 2016 are the most by any player at this edition of the tournament.
