1st French Open Title-2005: On his 19th birthday, Rafael Nadal defeated Federer in the 2005 French Open semi-finals, being one of only 4 players who defeated the top-seeded player that year. He defeated Mariano Puerta in the final, becoming the 2nd male player to win the French Open on his first attempt.

2nd French Open Title-2006: Nadal played Federer in the final of the French Open. The first two sets of the match were hardly competitive, as the rivals traded 6–1 sets. In the fourth set Federer broke him and forced a tiebreaker. Nadal became the first player to defeat Federer in a Grand Slam tournament final by winning the tiebreaker.

Score: 1–6, 6–1, 6–4, 7–6

3rd French Open Title-2007: Won the French Open for the third straight year, defeating Federer in the final once again.

Score: 6–3, 4–6, 6–3, 6–4

4th French Open Title-2008: Became the 5th man in the Open Era to win a Grand Slam singles title without losing a set. Nadal defeated Federer in the final for the 3rd straight year. He became the third man in the open era to win both the French Open and Wimbledon in the same year, by winning his 1st Wimbledon.

1st Loss at French Open-2009: Nadal’s first and, until 2015, only loss at the French Open. Nadal lost to Robin Soderling in the 4th round.

5th French Open Title-2010: Won the French open without dropping a single set. He defeated Robin Soderling and became the first player to win five French open titles in 6 years.

Score: 6–4, 6–2, 6–4

6th French Open Title-2011: Nadal defeated Roger Federer. He won his 6th French Open Title and retained his No. 1 ranking during the clay-court season.

Score: 7–5, 7–6, 5–7, 6–1

7th French Open Title-2012: Nadal defeated Djokovic, he won the first 2 sets and Djokovic claimed the 3rd. He won when Djokovic double faulted on match point. Nadal lost only one set throughout the tournament in the finals.

Score: 6–4, 6–3, 2–6, 7–5

8th French Open Title-2013: Nadal won the 2013 French Open after beating Djokovic in the semi-final and David Ferrer in the final. The semi-final with Djokovic was considered one of the greatest clay court matches ever played, as Nadal came back from down a break in the fifth set to take out a hard-fought 4-hour, 37-minute victory.

9th French Open Title-2014: Nadal defeated Novak Djokovic in the Men’s Singles French Open final to win his 9th French Open title and a 5th straight win at Roland Garros.

Score: 3–6, 7–5, 6–2, 6–4

After winning the 2014 French Open, Nadal became the only male player to win a single Grand Slam tournament 9 times and the first to win at least one Grand Slam tournament for 10 consecutive years.

2nd Loss at French Open-2015:

Lost to Djokovic in the Quarter Finals. The match ended with a double-fault. The loss ended his winning streak of 39 consecutive victories in Paris since his defeat by Robin Soderling in the 2009 French Open.
