Keep track of all the action as India resume their battle against South Africa on the 2nd day of the final Test at the Feroz Shah Kotla in Delhi.

India vs South Africa, 2nd Day Live:

*All time-stamps are in Indian Standard Time

16 50: And the action is over for day 2. It has been a thoroughly dominating performance by the Indian bowlers. South Africa had only themselves to blame as most of the batsmen fell to poor shots. Virat Kohli has not enforced the follow-on. Therefore, India’s batsmen will look to assert themselves over the Proteas tomorrow.

16 45: South Africa have been bowled out for 121. Imran Tahir’s almighty slog could only find the hands of substitute KL Rahul. India’s lead is a hefty 213.

16 30: Jadeja has a five-for. AB de Villiers’ valiant resistance comes to an end. Ishant Sharma takes a well-judged catch at long-off. South Africa 118/9 and still need 16 runs to avoid the follow-on.

16 15: Another wicket has fallen. South Africa are capsizing at the Feroz Shah Kotla. Jadeja snaffles Dane Piedt who attempted to drive on the up. 103/8.

16 00: Ashwin gets his 25th wicket of the series as he traps Abbott in front with a slider. South Africa 96/7.

15 50: Ishant Sharma gets in on the act with an unplayable delivery. The off-stump is sent cartwheeling as Dane Vilas’ exit leaves South Africa in a quagmire at 80/6.

15 20: Umesh Yadav dismisses JP Duminy with a beauty! His 50th Test wicket is a vital one as he pitches one on the perfect length and hits the top of off-stump. South Africa in deep trouble at 67/5.

15 10: Ravindra Jadeja is on a roll at the moment. Faf du Plessis perishes in an ungainly fashion as he tried to sweep a full delivery. Amazing anticipation from Rahane who completes the catch. South Africa 62/4.

14 55: Hashim Amla’s tour is becoming miserable with every innings. He walks off after trying to cut a ball that was too close to him. Jadeja picks up another wicket to leave South Africa reeling at 57/3.

14 45: AB de Villiers arrives and nonchalantly swats Jadeja for consecutive boundaries to help South Africa to reach 50.

14 34: Jadeja strikes to remove Bavuma. An arm-ball from the maverick spinner skids through and castles the opener. South Africa 40/2.

13 55: South Africa 37/1. Dean Elgar departs as he tries to slice a pitched up delivery from Umesh Yadav. Saha takes a safe catch to give India the opening that they desperately needed.

13 35: South Africa 23/0. Ashwin comes into the attack as India search for the early breakthrough.

13 28: Pujara has been badly hit on the forearm as the Proteas have begun solidly to reach 22/0. The debutant Temba Bavuma seems particularly impressive as this is now South Africa’s highest partnership of the series, so far.

12 25: Kyle Abbott has a five-wicket haul as India are bowled out for 334. A whole-hearted performance from the South African seamer. The bigger question though is, how will the Protea batsmen fare against Ashwin and company?

11 30: At lunch on day 2, India have reached a daunting 326/8 on a tricky surface in Delhi. Rahane played brilliantly to procure the first hundred of the series and Ashwin is still unbeaten on 53. A gutsy effort from both batsmen to frustrate South Africa. Despite being introduced into the attack pretty late, Imran Tahir picked up the only wicket of the session when Rahane scooped one to cover. How long will the tail wag? We’ll find out after 30 minutes.

11 15: Ashwin brings up his half-century with a mighty six. It has been a valuable knock from the Tamil Nadu off-spinner.

11 10: South Africa are looking shoddy in the field as they concede boundaries in successive overs due to fielding mishaps.

11 05: Umesh Yadav’s boundary brings up India’s 300. Has Hashim Amla erred again in not bringing Imran Tahir early into the attack?

11 00: India 296/8.  Rahane’s outstanding innings comes to an end as Imran Tahir picks up the doughty right-hander.

10 53: The ongoing partnership between Ashwin and Rahane is now the highest of the series, so far.

10 30: At drinks on Day 2, India have reached 279/7. Ajinkya Rahane has become the first centurion of the Freedom series by scoring his maiden ton on Indian soil. A top knock from a quality batsman. The 8th wicket partnership with Ashwin is beginning to frustrate the Proteas. Should Hashim Amla bring in Imran Tahir to break the partnership?

10 20: India 274/7. Rahane smashes Piedt for 2 sixes in the same over. Looks like we are in for some fun.

10 05: India cross the 250-mark as Rahane reaches his maiden Test century on Indian soil. A brilliant knock from a top player.

9 45: India 234/7. Rahane and Ashwin score their first runs of the day. Can the hosts stretch the score beyond 270?

9 30: South Africa gets us underway after they have taken the new ball. Abbott and Morkel steaming in.
