Europa League 2016 Final – Stats & Trivia

The UEFA Europa League 2016 final will be played on 18th May at the St. Jakob- Park in Basel, Switzerland between Liverpool & defending champions Sevilla.

Europa League 2016 Final – Preview

Liverpool and Sevilla face-off in the Europa League final, with the winner set to earn Champions League qualification for next season.
The Reds play their first European final in 9 years, after their loss to AC Milan in the 2007 Champions League final. Coach Jurgen Klopp has overseen some stupendous Liverpool performances in this season’s Europa League. The victories against Dortmund and Villareal, at Anfield, showed the character he has instilled in his team. Klopp is likely to miss Origi, who is yet to be cleared to play. Sturridge, who has himself been in good nick, will start in a front three of Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino. Kolo Toure, in for the suspended Sakho, will partner Dejan Lovren in defense with Moreno and Milner as full-backs. Emery Can & Adam Lallana should be in charge of mid-filed responsibilities.Sevilla sit on the brink of history, eyeing a third Europa league title in as many years. In a not so fruitful La Liga campaign, Sevilla finished seventh and were the only side in the top 5 European leagues to not win a single away game.

A lot is at stake & neither coach will underestimate each other’s chances in this final.
