Roger Federer: The Ace Tournament by Team WSP - October 14, 2015 12:40 UTCOctober 14, 2015 13:01 UTC In September 2015, while Serena Williams was working out on Practice Court 1 she glanced over at Roger Federer on the adjacent court to see for herself the master at work on his famous aces. Such is the fame of the Swiss tennis star’s shots. Roger Federer served his career’s 9000th ace during the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships final, in Februrary 2015, which he won. Down 40-15 on his serve late in the second set, Federer didn’t waver. That day he joined Goran Ivanisevic (10,183), Ivo Karlovic (9,322) and Andy Roddick (9,074) as the only players in history with more than 9,000 aces. With his ability to remind us how games should be played and champions should behave, Roger Federer has set a standard that no athlete in any sport has been able to emulate in the past dozen years. In tribute to the legend and his killer move, we leave you with a video of one of his best performances.
